NEW CLASS by Dawn and Ella
Dating and documenting fabric and quilts
Saturday afternoon 1-3
$12 each session
beginning Saturday February 15

This is a hands on lab session, no sewing!  Learn how to read the clues in fabric and quilts to date vintage pieces, using fabric color, dye, prints, batting, pattern, construction, binding, etc.  We introduce you to the tools used to date fabric, how we learned, anecdotal notes and stories....  You will have a chance to date your heirlooms, but PLEASE do not bring to the first class.  Join in on one or as many sessions as you like.  An ongoing class.  Limited number of participants.
Call 941-330-0993 for a seat

Hand quilting is moving at a steady pace.  We will get to all your quilt tops.  It helps a lot if the top is already marked as to how you want it stitched!  NEW...the price of batting is included in the hand quilting fee.  Also the price of batting is INCLUDED in the long arm price, thread is also included.  This makes it easier on everyone.  We us exclusively batting made in the USA from Quilters Dream Company and Hobbs, in many fibers.  Wool and silk are available for a slight up charge.  Samples are available for every type of batting made up in muslin swatches so you can handle the batting type, see the quilting indentations, feel the drape, etc.  The only type we do not use is bamboo because it does not survive washing very well.

That's all for now.  See you at the sale!
